Looking for lovers of the written word to discuss fiction, non-fiction, philosophy and poetry. Maybe see the occasional movie or attend a play. Would love to start with a classic so we'll have some criticism to guide us and then open it up! When I lived in Dallas there was a group that met at a coffee shop and then finished up with a beer or a glass of wine. Not necessary, but loosened some folks up enough to get some good conversations going!

What members are saying

 Because it's cool, that's why.

Because we actually talk about the books!

“Well, as Mark Twain says, "Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." Books are good companions, to be sure, but there's no substitute for real people and real conversation.”
